Effective date: March 1, 2025
By accessing or using Canon ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Canon is a community archive platform for Kick streamers and their audiences. It lets communities document memorable moments, submit proposals, vote on lore entries, and build a shared identity around a channel.
The Service is provided "as is" and may be updated or modified at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes.
Canon uses Kick OAuth for authentication. By signing in, you authorize us to access your Kick username and profile picture. We do not access your email, payment information, or any other account data.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
You retain ownership of any content you submit to Canon — including lore entries, proposals, comments, and clip links. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and display it as part of the Service.
You are solely responsible for the content you submit. You must not submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or that infringes on the rights of others.
Moderators and streamers may reject or remove content that does not meet their community standards. Canon is not responsible for user-generated content, but reserves the right to remove content that violates these terms.
You agree not to:
The Canon name, logo, and interface design are our property. You may not use them without permission. User-submitted content remains the property of its respective authors.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, if we believe you have violated these terms. You may also delete your account at any time from your settings.
Upon termination, your public contributions (lore entries, proposals, comments) may remain visible as part of the community archive at the discretion of the channel moderators.
The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Canon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
If you have questions about these Terms, you can reach us at hey@emirinan.dev.
